The entire Secure Send process is very simple and easy to understand, so it’s not strictly necessary to inform your customers before-hand, especially if they already know about MakeLeaps. However, many businesses prefer to introduce MakeLeaps first, since it will be a change in your standard invoice sending process.

How do I use Secure Send?
It’s as simple as entering an email address into “Secure Send” in Client, and then clicking Secure Send. Your client will receive an email like this:

What if I want to cancel an invoice I sent by Secure Send?
Simply click “Cancel Secure Send” before your customer opens the invoice. Once they have opened the invoice, they will have a copy of that invoice in their Secure Inbox. You will need to manually agree that an invoice in their Secure Inbox is cancelled, and re-issue another invoice.
What if I need to edit an invoice after Secure Sending?
You will need to cancel your invoice first, make edits, and then re-send it.
What happens when my client opens an invoice sent by Secure Send?
A copy of the invoice will go into their Secure Inbox. This means that even if you edit your local version invoice, the invoice in your client’s Secure Inbox will not change. This is similar to email.
Is There a Time Limit On Documents Sent By Secure Send?
Yes. After the document is sent, there is a 2 month window during which time it’s possible to access the document pickup page. However, once your client has set up an account, the document will always be available in their Secure Inbox.
