MakeLeaps Acquires Online Quoting/Invoicing Service Noroshi
10th of August, 2012
We’re excited to announce that MakeLeaps is acquiring Noroshi, another online quoting/invoicing service serving freelancers and small/medium sized businesses in Japan.
MakeLeaps has been growing quickly in the last few months, and we have been adding many new features while keeping our easy to use interface. We’re looking forward to being able to share our online invoicing platform with Noroshi users.
MakeLeaps will match all of the plans for the existing Noroshi users, including both free and paid plans. All existing Noroshi users will also receive 3 free mail points to try out our Send By Post service.
We will also perform a full quote/invoice data migration from Noroshi to MakeLeaps. Any user that would prefer to not have their data migrated to MakeLeaps can cancel this data migration by emailing support@makeleaps.com from the email address associated with their Noroshi account.

Message from Shouta
To all Noroshi users.
Hi, I am Shouta Sawada from 7-bites, the operator of Noroshi.
Thank you very much for making use of Noroshi.Today, we have an announcement about an acquisition.
Announcement from 7-bites, corp.
Noroshi, a service provided by 7-bites, corp, will be acquired by Webnet IT Corporation operating MakeLeaps.
We have been operating Noroshi for nearly a year since July, 2011. We considered multiple companies to approach to discuss acquisition before we decided upon MakeLeaps as they have been developing and operating, specifically for quotes and invoice since 2009, have great user support, and their continuous development have led us to decide on MakeLeaps as the best new home for Noroshi’s data and users.
After the transfer, Noroshi is being planned to be merged into MakeLeaps. Below is an outline of the migration plan from Noroshi to MakeLeaps.
Due to this migration, Noroshi users will be able to use the following services:
- Users will be able to use MakeLeaps with Noroshi’s current pricing plans.
- Users will be able to get a monthly graph, report, history and tagging functions.
- Users will be able to make use of MakeLeaps’ service of mailing invoices. MakeLeaps can send an invoice for a user with as little as 199 yen. Plus, as a gift on this occasion, Noroshi users will each be given 3 mailpoints, which can be used for sending three invoices for free.
- During the transition, users will be able to receive phone and email support from the MakeLeaps support team.
- Noroshi’s client information, quotes, invoice data, will be migrated to MakeLeaps.
Schedule
- Noroshi will provide service for the next three months as a transition period.
- On Augest 24th, client information would be migration from Noroshi to MakeLeaps. If there are users who do not wish for this migration, please email support@makeleaps.com, with your username and we will exclude your information from the migration.
- After the data has been, migrated, MakeLeaps will be sending you emails to change your password to your registered email address. After the password is changed, when you log to MakeLeaps, you will be able to use the data entered into Noroshi previously.
Last but not least, I would like to give my utmost gratitude to all the Noroshi users. Developing and operating Noroshi has been a very positive and fruitful experience for all of us, and we sincerely hope Noroshi has provided value to your businesses. I am certain that MakeLeaps will support your growth and development in the future.
Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Message from Jason
Hello,
I’m really excited to extend a warm welcome to every Noroshi user.
Noroshi has always been a very strong competitor in every sense, and I had heard nothing but positive things about both Noroshi and also Shouta-san personally.
That’s why I was very excited for a chance to meet Shouta when he reached out to me. When Shouta offered a chance to purchase Noroshi and work with him to migrate all of the Noroshi users over to MakeLeaps, we jumped at it.
Over the last few months, we’ve been making tremendous progress on MakeLeaps, and we have many more exciting features and announcements coming up soon. At MakeLeaps we’re all looking forward to extending all of these features and new benefits to Noroshi users.
If you have any questions about this migration, please feel free to contact our support team on support@makeleaps.com.
Warm Regards
Jason Winder
Co-Founder of MakeLeaps

Terms And Additional Information
- From today, Friday the 10th of August, all new Noroshi account creation will be disabled.
- If you would like to upgrade your Noroshi account, please contact the MakeLeaps support team, and we will honour upgrade to Noroshi plans for a 2 week period until the migration occurs.
- From the 24th of August, the MakeLeaps privacy policy and terms of service will apply to your MakeLeaps account.
- If you would like to try out MakeLeaps before the migration, but you would also like your data to be imported into MakeLeaps, please go ahead and create a MakeLeaps account. Because MakeLeaps supports multiple companies from the same account, we can simply create a new “company” in the interface containing all of your previous information, which will become available when we do the migration. Please note that if you start using MakeLeaps from today, your data from Noroshi will be separately imported into a new company – the data will not be merged.
- When the migration is done, all users with a Noroshi account will receive a password reset mail from MakeLeaps.
- If you’re a paying Noroshi customer, MakeLeaps will match your Noroshi plan – there will be no additional costs or charges associated with your new MakeLeaps account.
- We will also be matching the Noroshi free plans – all migrated Noroshi users will receive a special MakeLeaps plan identical to the existing Noroshi plan.
- Users who decide to upgrade after the migration will be able to select any standard MakeLeaps plan. For more information on the available plans, please check here.
- All migrated Noroshi partners will also receive 3 mail points for free, allowing you to send your invoices by post. For more information on this feature, please check here.
- Some of the data in Noroshi is stored in a different way to the MakeLeaps format, such as addresses and bank details. We’ll do our best to do a complete and accurate migration, but please carefully check your migrated information in MakeLeaps, and as always please let us know if you have any issues.
- Noroshi Users who have signed up to Noroshi with Twitter that do not have an associated email address will not be automatically migrated, as we do not have their emails to notify them of the migration. We will do our best to contact these users by Twitter to inform them of the acquisition.
- If for any reason we are unable to import your information into MakeLeaps, we’ll do our best to contact you with any contact details on file.
- Unfortunately there are 2 features that MakeLeaps does not currently support.
- We do not currently support Projects. We do support tags however, so all quotes and invoices assigned to projects will be assigned tags instead.
- We do not currently support receipts. This is on our road map, but we do not have an ETA on this. Please log into Noroshi and download any necessary information before the Noroshi service is terminated on the 23rd of November.
As always if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us any time at support@makeleaps.com or (03) 4550 1548.
